Help Us Build a Clearer Picture of the ProfessionWe talk constantly about how equine photography is changing—what photographers are charging, what they're buying, how they're delivering work, where they're investing, which technologies they're adopting, and what challenges they're facing. What we have considerably less of is actual data.
The 2026 Equine Photography Industry Survey, conducted by The Horse In Focus, is an independent research project designed to begin documenting the business, technology, purchasing patterns, professional practices, and changing landscape of equine photography.

Who Should Participate?
The survey is open to equine photographers across disciplines, specialties, experience levels, and business models. You do not need to be a full-time professional photographer to participate.
We want to hear from full-time and part-time professionals, emerging professionals, retired professionals, serious enthusiasts, students, and hobbyists who actively photograph horses.
Participation from photographers working across different equestrian disciplines and geographic regions will help us develop a more complete picture of equine photography today.

The 2026 Equine Photography Industry Survey does not collect names or email addresses, and the survey is configured not to store respondents' IP addresses or browser information.
Individual responses will not be provided to advertisers, manufacturers, organizations, or other third parties. Survey findings will be analyzed and reported in aggregate as part of The Horse In Focus industry research.
At the conclusion of the survey, participants will have the option to enter a separate drawing for a $25 Starbucks gift card. Prize drawing information is collected through a separate form and cannot be connected to individual survey responses.
Participation in the prize drawing is optional and is not required to complete the survey.
